A Journey through life without rights
Dr. Marjan Davoudi

Questions & Answers Session

Abstract:
Traditionally, suffering has been perceived as a morbid experience of human existence in which it causes fear, anxiety and depression. This presentation focuses on the role of suffering in the creation of meaning in human life. It portrays certain live examples of people’s experiences in which they have been persecuted and tortured. Yet, they have gained new insights and knowledge into the existential and spiritual aspects of their lives in a way that they would have probably never experienced if it had not been for the type of severe individual and social stressors they were faced with.
